The Altar Guild is in great need of members so please prayerfully consider joining.
Save the Date -The Annual Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School (IGLLS) Fall Benefit Auction will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the IGLLS Gymnasium. Make plans to attend now. In the Opportunity corner, you can find red/green boxes to take and pack to share the love of Jesus with a child who likely has never received a gift. Operation Christmas Child is a mission of Samaritan's Purse, who you will remember, came to help many Spencer residents after the flood last year. Within the boxes, you will find information about Operation Christmas Child and what to pack in boxes for girls or boys. Some of the boxes have a few items to get you started filling your box, The collection dates for filled boxes are November 17-24. They may be delivered to First Congregational Church; 1212 1st Ave West in Spencer. If you are unable to deliver your filled box to First Congregational Church, you may leave it in Opportunity Corner or in the church office no later than November 23 and someone will get it to First Congregation Church on Nov 24.
