Operation Christmas Child is preparing for another season of sharing the Gospel through shoebox gifts; and behind every shoebox is a child, a family, a community-and an opportunity for God to change lives. 12.2 Million boxes were packed last year; In NW Iowa alone, 10,823 boxes were packed, which is up 23% from 2024.

Red/Green cardboard boxes are available in fellowship hall, but ANY shoe box can be used. $10 donation covers much more than just shipping, not only transportation, but also team training, and publications in native language. Your $10 check can be mailed separately or placed on top inside the box, and it goes directly to Samaritan's Purse. Please do not tape the boxes shut. Box integrity is kept; no one on the local level opens your box. The contents of your box is checked at the processing center, so it does not contain guns (other than a bright colored water gun), no multi tools with a knife/blades, no craft paint pots, no soap, toothpaste, lotion, perfumes or liquids of ANY kind. Please pray for:
— Open doors for the Gospel and hearts prepared to receive it.
— Children who receive shoeboxes to encounter the love of Jesus.
— Churches and community groups to catch the vision for evangelism and discipleship.
— Volunteers and ministry teams to have wisdom, strength, unity, and encouragement.
— Safety and protection for everyone involved in collecting, processing, transporting, and
distributing shoeboxes.
— The Greatest Journey discipleship program and the children who choose to follow Jesus.
— New believers to boldly share Christ with their families and friends.
— God to raise up people of peace and open doors and communities that have not yet heard the
Gospel.
Your prayer matters. Every shoebox represents an opportunity, but prayer prepares the way for the Gospel to go forth. Jesus said in Matthew 9:37-38, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into His harvest.”
Let’s cover this entire ministry in prayer and trust God to do what only He can do-transform lives for eternity through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
